Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick Up and Drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your professional driver guide will welcome you to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. After a short briefing about your trip, start the 8-hour drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in southwestern Uganda.
You will stop for lunch along the way, where you can enjoy a local Ugandan meal. The journey takes you through beautiful countryside and farmlands. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, check in, have dinner, and relax as you prepare for the adventures ahead.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Village Tour
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. You will learn about the trekking rules and safety guidelines. Visitors are divided into groups of eight, each assigned a specific gorilla family and guided by a park ranger.
Start your trek through the dense forest, following trails up the highlands in search of the gorillas. Along the way, enjoy the natural beauty of the park and spot different plants and smaller animals. Once you locate the gorillas, spend one hour watching them as they feed, play, rest, and interact with one another. Capture this special moment on camera before heading back to your lodge for lunch.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Garama Cave Exploration
After breakfast, go to the park offices for a golden monkey trekking briefing. Your ranger guides will lead you into the bamboo forests to track these beautiful primates. Golden monkeys are playful and active, often jumping from tree to tree. Spend one hour observing and photographing them before returning to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, take a guided nature walk to the Garama Caves, which were once home to the Batwa people. These caves served as shelters and hiding places during conflicts with neighboring communities. They also acted as meeting points for Batwa leaders before the area was turned into a national park. Day 4: Departure Back to Kampala
